ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) is a digital datalink system for transmission of short messages between aircraft and ground stations via airband radio or satellite. The protocol was designed by ARINC and deployed in 1978 with additional ACARS radio stations being added by SITA. There are millions of ACARS messages in our database so be patient when searching. Searches will match partial text in the message body as well as the main message fields. Open any message by clicking on the 'recieved' date to use the ACARS translator tool to convert some messages into easier to read text.
